What is Animal Audiology?
Animal audiology is a specialized field that studies hearing and auditory health in animals. It involves diagnosing hearing impairment and treating hearing disorders in a variety of animal species.
Just like humans, animals can experience hearing loss, ear infections, and other auditory issues.
This field is crucial for understanding how animals hear, ensuring their well-being, and aiding in the conservation and rehabilitation especially for pets, working animals, and wildlife.
At Seashell animal audiology, we use various techniques and tools to diagnose hearing problems and assess hearing functions, such as behavioral tests, electrophysiological measures (auditory brainstem responses BEAR), and Otoacoustic emission (OAEs).

Dr. Sadaf Fateh is a Clinical and Animal Audiologist with over 14 years of experience, affiliated with SeaShell Animal Audiology. She holds degrees from Mashad University, A. T. Still University, and Northern Colorado University, and is an adjunct professor.
Dr. Fateh is licensed in both Arizona and California, specializing in Animal Audiology to help animals with hearing loss.
